Quaint hotel very close to Neushwanstein Castle. Dated, but cozy. Good breakfast.
Third bed was not very comfortable and very small.

We were there to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle and discovered that we had been given a large room with a balcony view to the Castle - quite enchanting. Excellent choice for enjoying the Alps and the valley. Good for lot of walks.
As in many other places the breakfast could be better. It was ok, but left you wanting something more tasty.

The location of the hotel is just perfect. Just few minutes from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

I liked the closeness to the mountains. I also liked you could be near the town but a short walk felt like you were out in the country.
I didn't like thinking I had access to tennis courts when I actually had to pay a fee to rent it.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with a meadow beside it and cowbells to be heard. The view to the Schloss Nauswchanstein couldn't be more beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated, bright and airy also very clean.

The hotel was very nice for the money. The location is close to town for food and close to the castles for for touring. Beautiful views from the balcony. Definitely would stay again.

Comfortable room and helpful staff.
The tree is blocking the view of the castle when I already requested for a room with good view of the castle.

The location is perfect for visiting Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles as they are just a short walk away. The hotel is not directly on the main street where all the tourists, buses, etc. are. Instead it is just down the street far enough away to be quiet. We also had a beautiful view from our room looking across a meadow towards the mountains. Free parking is on the property. Our room was set up as a triple and we still had plenty of room with a balcony overlooking the meadow. The rooms and building are the Alpen-wood style. We also used the hotel as our base to visit Linderhof, Oberammergau, Wiesskirche, etc. as you can make a nice loop. We ate at the adjacent Maier Restaurant, not associated with the hotel, twice. Very good German food and a very good price.
The hotel is great as a quiet base for exploring the area. It does not have a long list of amenities such as a gym, big screen TV's, etc. We would never have used such things even if they had been available, excercise can be had by taking a nice walk in the mountains and who need a tv when you have views of the castles and mountains.

Superb! We will come back in summer rather for the renowned King's lake but for the hotel itself.

The resturant attached to the hotel is excellent.
One of the owners had a TV on all night - I had to use earplugs to sleep!
